Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how VeganRecipesHub ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit vegan.synflax.com (the "Site"), subscribe to our email list, or otherwise interact with us.

By using the Site, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit personal information to us. Related documents: Terms of Use and Cookie Policy.

1. Who we are

VeganRecipesHub is an independent plant-based recipe and guides publication operated under the Synflax brand. For privacy questions or requests, contact:

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

2.1 Information you provide

  • Email signup. When you join our list, we collect your email address and, if you choose to share them, your first name and preferred recipe category.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive the content of your message and any contact details you include.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Technical and usage data. Like most websites, our servers and hosting infrastructure may log information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and approximate timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use essential storage to remember your cookie preferences, and optional analytics only if you consent. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

2.3 Information we do not intentionally collect

We do not require accounts for browsing recipes. We do not knowingly collect government IDs, payment card numbers, or precise geolocation. We do not sell personal information.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Deliver and manage the email list you subscribed to (recipes, tips, and related updates).
  • Respond to inquiries, corrections, and partnership requests.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the Site (including diagnosing errors and understanding which pages are useful).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
  • Measure site performance with analytics — only when you have accepted optional analytics cookies.

We will not use your email to send marketing you did not request. You can unsubscribe from list emails at any time using the link in those messages, or by emailing us.

4. Legal bases (where applicable)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or a similar jurisdiction, we process personal data under one or more of these bases:

  • Consent — for optional analytics cookies and for email marketing where consent is required.
  • Contract / pre-contract steps — to provide a subscription or respond to a request you initiated.
  • Legitimate interests — to run a secure, useful website, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate usage in ways that do not override your rights.
  • Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose information to comply with law.

5. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to operate the Site, and not for unrelated advertising networks. Recipients may include:

  • Infrastructure providers. Hosting, content delivery, and database services (for example Cloudflare and Supabase) that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
  • Email and operations tools. Services used to store subscriber records and send communications you requested.
  • Affiliate partners. If you click an affiliate link (such as a cookbook offer), the destination site may set its own cookies and collect data under its privacy policy. We may receive aggregated referral or commission information; we do not sell your email to those partners.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of VeganRecipesHub, our users, or the public.

If the Site or Synflax assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers (such as standard contractual clauses) and limit access to what is needed to run the Site.

7. Retention

  • Subscribers. We keep your email and related preferences until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, unless a longer period is required by law.
  • Correspondence. We retain emails as long as reasonably needed to resolve your request and maintain ordinary business records.
  • Logs and analytics. Server and analytics records are kept only as long as useful for security, debugging, and aggregate reporting, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Consent choice. Your cookie preference is stored locally in your browser until you clear it or reset it via the Cookie Policy page.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to subscriber data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong unique password for any accounts you hold with third parties linked from our Site.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, email hello@synflax.com with the subject line "Privacy request" and enough detail for us to locate your records (for example, the email address you used to subscribe). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We aim to respond within 30 days, or sooner where local law requires.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.

California residents: we do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are commonly defined under the CCPA/CPRA for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may still request access or deletion as described above.

10. Children

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Third-party sites and affiliate links

Recipes and articles may include links to external websites, including affiliate partners. Their privacy practices are their own. We are not responsible for the content or policies of sites we do not control. Review those policies before providing personal information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy. For material changes affecting how we use subscriber data, we will take additional steps where appropriate (for example, a notice on the Site or an email).

13. Contact
